CCEE helps regulate power consumption and generation within Brazil’s dynamic electric energy market. As more energy traders come online, and as pricing models have changed to more accurately reflect up-to-the-minute generation and demand, the resulting data volumes presented CCEE a challenge. In this presentation, the company’s Executive Systems Architecture Manager, Dario Almeida, will describe how his team integrated Vertica into a complex system designed for handling transactions and BI, and yielded dramatically improved TCO, higher scalability, 99.9% availability, and daily management for 80k customer contracts.
