Hamza Gürani Akbulut is an accomplished IT consultant with more than a decade of experience in the industry. Having started his career in 2012, he has been a part of various consulting companies, working on numerous projects in finance, telco, and other industries. Since 2020, he has served as a Vertica Solution Architect and Business Development Manager at OpenText Vertica, where he is responsible for building data pipelines, real-time data streaming and processing, presenting ideas to clients, and delivering workshops and proof of concept installations. With his expertise in Vertica and big data, he has been able to help organizations leverage the power of data to gain valuable insights and drive better business outcomes.
Maurizio has been working in the IT industry for 30+ years.
He started coding Unix Device Drivers in Honeywell in the late '80s to integrate special devices in EU, US and APJ.
He has been working with Databases since 1992 and became involved with large Data Warehouse implementations when he was in Oracle in the late '90s.
In 2006 he joined HP working with MPP databases and - since 2011 - with Vertica. He knows several Databases, Data Warehouse architectures and a plethora of programming languages.
In his current role he helps customers Worlwide getting the most out of Vertica: Query & Throughput Tuning, UDx implementation (here is the last one) and Vertica DWH Architecture Design.
Working with relational databases since the end of the 1980s, Marco architected or helped to architect two dozen data warehouses.
Deep involvement with BI tools like Cognos or Oracle BI, with ETL tools like IBM DataStage and Informatica PowerCenter.
Head of Data Management (would be the job of the CDO today, only with less authority) for two years.
Joined HP in 2008 to work with an MPP SQL database, and working with Vertica since its acquisition by HP in 2011.
Knows several DBMSs, several programming languages. Helping prospects and customers to get the most out of Vertica.
